BaR Mitzvah & bat mitzvah

We believe that every child should be allowed to become a Bat-Mitzvah and Bar-Mitzvah! We want to make sure that no child in left behind. Mitzvah Matters offers a sliding scale and will accommodate all children including those with learning differences and financial limitations. We are also flexible and respect your time and scheduling constraints. We believe in "Tikkun Olam" and the blessings Bat Mitzvah and  Bar Mitzvah children carry into the world.

At Mitzvah Matters, we fully prepare our Bena'i Mitzvah students for their Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah ceremony.

No previous Religious or Hebrew school required. With more than 20 year of experience, our educational program is personally tailored to the students needs and learning style. We provide individual and small group lessons at your home or our office.

We teach the Hebrew alphabet, reading skills, The Torah and Haftara portion, all the Prayers and Blessings needed for the  Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah service, Jewish holidays, Jewish Life cycle events, Jewish songs, about Israel and "Tikun Olam" (making the world a better place). 

Accommodations including transliterations are available to those who need it. We aim for the success of the student wanting to make a connection with Judaism and  for her or his to enjoy the process. It's about continuing our Jewish tradition. 

All our students Succeed! and do Great! at their Bat Mitzvah! and Bar Mitzvah!

Our Ben'i Mitzvah Services can take place anywhere and anytime, indoors  or outdoors, Shabbat morning or evening, Mondays, Thursdays or Rosh Hodesh. For a list of locations where we have conducted services, please see the "Venue" tab on this website. 

We bring the Synagogue to you. We have done services in Country Clubs such as Hillcrest, Brentwood and Mountaingate, hotels, restaurants, private homes, back yards, parks and on the beach.

We bring a Torah and Prayer books and create a  sacred space with the presence of your Family and friends. 

The Bar Mitzvah or Bat Mitzvah child together with our Rabbi and Cantorial soloist lead  a beautiful and meaningful and service filled with Prayer, Love and Song. We can also bring in additional Musicians for a truly inspiring service.

Our Rabbi is available to travel to Israel to officiate Bar- Mitzvahs and Bat-Mitzvahs. We usually go over during the Winter, Spring and Summer Vacations.

Rabbi Eran Bar-Adon, LMFT is a licensed psychotherapist with over twenty years experience teaching children for Bat-Mitzvah and Bar_Mitzvah, with all learning styles. The Rabbi utilizes all accommodations needed to ensure the success of all his students.
